Allen Hughes is the talented director and producer and one half of the famous Hughes brothers. Allen was born in Detroit on April 1, 1972, to an Armenian mother,
Aida, who bought Allen and his twin brother Albert a video camera when they were twelve. The boys began making films about anything
they could think of; when asked to make a "how to" film at school, they made "How to be a Burglar." Allen’s first feature-length films, made with his brother,
were Menace ll Society and Dead Presidents. The Hughes brothers' films have starred such renowned actors as Samuel L. Jackson and Jada Pinkett Smith.
Allen has also directed the successful TV series “Touching Evil,” and most recently, “Knights of The South Bronx."
