Mardik, Armenian Screenwriter Mardik Martin has been a screenwriter for decades and his courses at USC include writing the short script, the screenplay and advanced feature rewriting.

His credits include Mean Street (1973), Raging Bull (1980), New York, New York (1977), Valentino (1977) and Revenge is my Destiny, as well as numerous uncredited script doctorings on features.

Among his documentaries are Italianamerican (1974), American Boy (1978), and The Last Waltz (1978). He started teaching screenwriting at NYU after earning his scholarship and M.A. His most recent project is the documentary Mardik: From Baghdad to Hollywood which was completed in October 2006.

In 2006, the Writer's Guild of America honored Martin by naming Raging Bull as one of the 101 greatest screenplays ever penned.
