*ADAA Hosts Luncheon for Simone Abkarian in Hollywood*

On Monday, July 24th, the newly formed Armenian Dramatic Arts Alliance (ADAA) hosted a luncheon in honor of French Armenian actor/director Simone Abkarian who was in town to direct Love's Labor's Lost, a Shakespeare play for the Actor's Gang Theater of Los Angeles.

The luncheon was attended by various Hollywood professionals as well as a host of ADAA advisory board members including screenwriter Jose Rivera, artist Vahe Berberian and journalist Joan Agajanian Quinn. Some new faces amongst the group were FOX TV correspondent, Anita Vogel, documentary film-maker Carla Garapedian and award wining producer and casting director, Valerie McCaffrey.

The ADAA was pleased to sponsor a staged reading of William Saroyan's Hello Out There at the Armenian Library & Museum of America on June 11th, 2006. The director was Zoya Kachdurian from New York and the actors were Paul Schafer, Danielle Bauman, Jason Taylor, Michele Markarian. It was followed by an engaging talk by Saroyan's niece, Jaqueline Papasian Kazarian about her uncle Bill.

*Armenian Dramatic Arts Alliance Launches West Coast Activities*

(ADAA) held its inaugural West Coast meeting on February 13, at the Hollywood home of actress Karen Kondazian. More than 25 Southern California Armenian writers, directors, producers, public relations executives, designers and actors met to hear about ADAA's recent accomplishments on the East Coast and to discuss ADAA's West Coast presence.

In collaboration with GARTAL, ADAA production of two staged readings in NYC was a spectacular success.
